Northeast Sailplane Products, Dead??

I ordered a kit from Northeast Sailplane Products in mid April and got an immediate printout of the order complete with shipping charges. Since then, I haven't heard anything from them. They don't return phone calls or emails. It looks as though they didn't charge my credit card (but it may still show up). Are they out of business?

I finally got plan's I ordered Mar.11 from RCM, and they are in the state next door. NSP has enough comment and drama to start a soap opera. With apologee's to soap opera's. I'm just happy I got a Kestral 2m nib when I did and I didn't get it from them.

Keep an eye on your CC statement to make sure no charges show up....from what I gather, they probably never will.... but still, keep an eye on it. That's step one. Step two: find another place to shop.

more on Northeast

This is sad. I haven't been flying or buying gliders for a few years, but in the old days, Northeast was the place to shop. I remember talking with Sal on the phone, and it was always a good experience. Life goes on.

There's your problem, mid April isn't until next week. You haven't ordered it yet.

Wow...the website has been taken off line. As much as we all know it has been over, that last remnant of what NSP was is gone. My last purchase from them was a hi-start in July of 2010.

If I were you I would cancel that credit card and ask for another. After all the bad press on RcG, amazing not everyone knows about NES.

That's going too far. Sal was a terrible businessman and his ethical standards were often questioned here, but I'm sure he would never commit outright credit card fraud.

Beside, you can always dispute a credit card charge.

I think I was the last person to actually get a plane from them. I got an Omega 1.8 Poly, with a normal tail. That was the Summer of 2010, in Aug. After that it was over.
