It's a shame that you started this build and there is'nt enough builders any more to creat a following. Could be that so many mustangs have been built that they are no longer intresting and the same for the P-47. Fuel planes are losing ground to the ARF's and Electric's. Keep up the good work and I hope a few guys will join your build. I just finished up the TF 1/5 scale mustang, they are a beautiful plane to build. I'm not familiar with the Dave Platt plane so I can't offer much there. I'll watch you build and don't let it die off Leroy

While I have not chimed in prior to now I am keeping an eye on your build cportelli. I framed up a Platt B model Mustang to the point of primer for a customer a few years back. One and half actually as I built a wing for another one at the same time. It turns into a beautiful airplane but is certainly built in the "old school" fashion. I built it pretty much to the plan with the exception of the wing which I modified with a joiner so the two panels could be built independently and then joined after construction. I also put the wings into a jig saddle when sheeting the bottom sides as I wanted to be certain to maintain the proper wash-out. Helped with keeping the trailing edge nice and straight too which is tough to do because of the reflex in the laminar flow wing. As I'm sure you are well aware the airplane is pretty "builder intensive" but results in one of the most accurate Mustangs available. Keep up the great work!

Sorry I didn't comment earlier-There is interest, and especially since it's not a "D" model...Sometimes I just sit backl and watch,when I really should comment...

Probably more folks are watching than you know...just keep on going.

It's agood build so far-don't get discouraged..
