The Obama administration is blaming Israel for the recent rise in global crude oil prices, says its "posturing" on Iran brought the rise.

...posturing.?excuse me.?

....most of us thought it to be about Israels' long term survival.

Now I know he's on Bibis' s-list.

Just shows what obammy's opinion of his supporters is. Apparently he thinks they are stupid enough to believe him.

Please, keep in mind that Obama's first priority is America, not Israel. It is very much in our best interest to be seen as trying to restrain the Israelis to minimize the collateral political damage to us if and when Israel strikes.

I'll agree with you in part. Israel is pretty much at the very bottom of obammy's priorities. Heck, even Palestine is way above Israel as far as obammy is concerned. But as far as America is concerned. I think obammy's first priority is himself, and getting the U.S. as far to the left as he possibly can. Not what is best for the U.S.

Any burp or belch from that region sets the speculators on fire and no doubt their wallets. Time to end this cash cow.

Any burp or belch from that region, any tornado or hurricane, any damaged machinery, anything, sets the speculators on fire and no doubt their wallets.

Oil prices will continue to rise until an alternative to using oil is found.

Personally I think that is false. The fluctuation is based on speculation based on the instability of that region, it has no basis on the actual availability, production and supply of oil. I would hate to see the insurance markets be allowed to take that "speculative" mentality when it comes to tornado or hurricane predictions. Here in FL people are already being driven out of their home by completely bogus insurance costs.

If it is speculators like so many think, then when the price is overbought it should swing the other way until they see it is oversold. Unbelievably, the dollar is gaining short term so at some point those speculators will see an adjustment is needed. A correction is coming in S&P too and if it doesnt, then expect a harder fall. Things never go straight up or down or in one direction forever, even with a geopolitical ax over everyone's head.
