My inputs for you...
On 3S the 1050kv with 8" props or the 920kv with 9" or 10" props should be fine. I think 920kv with 8" props on 3S would be rather weak. I'm running the DJI 920s with 8" props on 4S on mine and it does fine. I'm going to compare those motors on 3S with 10" props to see what gives the best performance/flight time. I was hoping to do that today, but to windy. Fingers crossed tomorrow will be better weather. I'll post results as soon as I have it.

If you're using the Naza controller then I'd go with the DJI ESCs. If you use 'other' ESCs then make sure you disable the ESC BECs by removing the red servo wires from the connectors. You don't want to try and have two different power sources fighting each other to feed your system.

Just starting to build my HTFPV and noticed a problem. The instructions call for 54 spacers to be used, but the kit only comes with 50. Not a big deal, but I wanted to throw that out there. Did any of the people who've already built it come across that problem?

Great advice! I'll be anxious to hear your experience and "borrow" from you

Saw that I might have had a line on an OPCC but daign was a Johnny on the spot

On the vc-450 I have already, I notice there is some drift in Atti mode even though I'm in hover indoors. Can you give me some guidance or point me to a place where this has been dealt with in another forum?

I'm lovin reading and learning from you all. Thanks!

Happy Easter!

I think you'll pretty much always have some drift unless you've got GPS position hold...even then it'll drift around some.

Awesome video Justin! Nicely done. Some close calls in there although I half expected you to fly under that tanker while it was drifting

I see you've gone to circularly polarized antennas, how do you like them? At 1.2 they seem kind of big. And fragile.

Nice vid. Not sure what's more impressive - the driving or the flying... I used to be a truck driver to pay my may through school and that makes me want to crap myself!

So what you are saying is that this problem I have - spending time on forums and money on quads means I'll eventually end up even poorer than I already am, culminating in my being a "drifter"?

I flew my HT-FPV frame today with the DJI 920kv motors and different size LiPos and Props. For some reason my data recorder only recorded the first flight's data with the 920kv on 3S with 10x4.7 props. I also flew it on 4S 2650 with 8" props...but don't have the data on it. I'll try again later (maybe tomorrow if the wife permits me to fly).

Attached is my motor/prop/battery testing data so far...in order of longest flying time per mAh used. I really need to get a larger battery...my 8-9 minute fly time just seems to short.

Juz, your frame looks great. I see many improvements Tom has added from the prototype frames. I'm considering buying a 'release' version to add to my fleet...in red. I like red to make it easier to find after I crash.
