I'm thinking about ordering some NTM prop drive 35-30 1100 kv motors to try on my HT-Fpv frame on 4s 10 inch graupner props. It should be ridiculous!!!!!!

What FPV setups do you guys have on these? I have a BEVRC 1.3ghz setup w/ a LPF and i still get some nasty feedback. I have the video tx on it's own battery to cut down on jitter from the ESCs, but... I still don't get good range. I'm about to go back to my 5.8 setup...

Anyone?

i run the RMRC 5800 uno with a cloverleaf on the Vtx and a cross hair on the Vrx...i havent been able to take it to its limits yet but from what ive been told is that it can go a good 2 miles at least ...

I also have a 5 turn helical and skewplanar in my arsenal...I have great reception and love it

I have a 1.3ghz setup with a 400mw vid tx. I have a cloverleaf and skew planar and my video is super solid and crystal clear. I also have a immersion antenna tracker with a immersion duo 5800 diversity rx with a skew planar and 7dbi patch and I cannot get much more than 1 kilometer without having serious loss of video. Anything more than a kilometer and my video is going out and back in and sometimes completely out and I have to put my quad into return to home until I get video back. I say get RMRC 1.3 stuff with a skew planar and cloverleaf and never look back lol.

Only been gone two days but I already miss my HT-FPV . . . I'll get another one for sure.

Hmm. I have the CL setup on mine as well, and still getting crap. How are you guys mounting the antenna on the frame? I have it mid center, and up high.

from that pic, that looks like a skew planar wheel (4 lobes), not a CL (3 lobes). I've read that the CL is preferred on the tx, and the spw on the ground. It has something to do with the gain and CL being slightly more omni directional. I don't know if thats your problem, but just an observation. Do you have the same antenna on your Rx?

so ya, I had the 4 lobes on each end. I have a 3 lobe from a cheaper antenna kit. I'll try throwing that on the Rx and see how it goes (once the sun comes out).

Oh I have the skew planar 4 lobe on the ground and a cloverleaf 3 lobe on the vid tx. If your using 5.8 video is crappy at distances. But if using 1280mhz it should be rock solid.

Actually the 3 lobe goes on the tx (on the quad). Let us know what your results are. I was interested in what difference it makes. About your feedback, is it constant? Does it get better with altitude? Is it lines across the video? Need more info

For those of you using a Naza on the HT-FPV frame, did you solder the wires for power directly to the distribution board or did you make a separate connector (ec3 etc...) and solder that so its easy to remove the Naza if you had to without un-soldering?

I'm thinking separate for ease.

I soldered a jst connector to my VU for the Naza....that way i can power it separately... also it is necessary to power it separately depending on your escs
