The instructions that came with frame show you, the CG is the two back standoffs that hold up the top plate

CG is correct in my eyes, please see the picture attached to check it.
Arms are straight without any twist.
Thanks for the link with the CC settings. Hopefully they'll work for the new CC3D too, I'll try them out tomorrow.

At the moment, there are two main problems I have with the HT-FPV plus CC3D: Quad is heavily drifting to the right (started to mess around with AccelBias with limited success) and the commonly known "tail wag" of the quad.

Howdy all - been a while....

Beautiful day for some quick flights before heading out so I decided to get the goggles on and do it!

Coming in for a battery swap and didn't notice the nice little tree that decided to jump in front of me. Bam! No major damage - just missing a prop nut , prop, and washer...

Thought I'd share for a quick laugh! Enjoy!

More importantly - Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow HT-FPV pilots and their families!

Thanksgiving Day Ooops......... HT-FPV (0 min 35 sec)

Try increasing your roll and pitch rate I gains to the same level as P. Or better yet use txpid and assign it to a knob or slider and adjust in flight until it levels I had the same problem with both cc and cc3d, with the new fw. This is also a common prob.
good luck

I'll give your suggestion a try tomorrow, thanks for the info! Besides, you don't have working settings to share for the CC3D, do you?

So the quad drifting to the right is a common problem of the CC3D in general or just in combination with the HT-FPV?

in general. I've read others on the op forums that had the same issue. I'm not using my cc3d on the htfpv, I have it on a ht450 (got my naza on the htfpv), so not sure if my settings wil help u. I do remember that there is a dedicated
thread over there for the htfpv tuning. mostly because of the "tail wag" lots of people are getting.
I dont have a link but check it out or ask on the cc3d tuning thread

Does anyone know if black stuf on NTM prop drive 35-30 motors is normal on the windings?
I have some what looks like melted black stuff in between the windings on my motors. When I poke it its solid and the motors are always cool and I don't feel any problems with the motors. Any clue what it is?

expecting to receive my HT FPV on Tuesday next...

Wondering which of these motors to use...

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...00kv_250w.html

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=25556

The 1000Kv NTM seems to be the lightest, most powerful motor. I know many of you have chosen the 1200... which is almost 20g heavier, with less output?

Wouldn't the lower Kv motor have longer run time??? and if so, then perhaps the last motor "specially designed for quads" would be a better choice??? although, it is the heaviest motor in the group.

Until this is decided I plan on trying the motors I have...
http://www.readymaderc.com/store/ind...roducts_id=795

These motors are running in the feiyu x4, on 10/4.7. The little quad has oodles of power, even when using 3300mAh 3s. The problem is I have no way of knowing what they are, in terms of Kv and overall output... If they work to satisfaction, then I will likely not make any changes, however i would love to know the specs on this motor, if anyone happens to know off hand.

I have three sets of ESC to choose from...

Turnigy AE-20
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...hless_ESC.html

Tower Pro W30
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ontroller.html

and then the original Hobbywing ESC's that came with the feiyu x4...

Any suggestions / comments? I plan on using this for FPV, and will not be using Gopro, as popular as they are I will be using this cam...
http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo...0&productname=

Look at the weight... rctimer listed it as 1Kg Ha!!! i hope not... I expect to have to add some weight to balance the quad without the gp... if any thin, I would like to keep the weight at an absolute minimum (within reason / budget)

Thanks!

@simplify I'd recommend a 4s setup way more power I tried some NTM 35-30 1100kv motors on 4s with10 inch graupner props and wow talk about power. It's on my Y6 so I think I'm going to get 4 more for my ht frame.

Wish I was as lucky. I'm going to need some new arms and motor mounts, which isn't to bad considering it landed on a concrete parking block.

I think I pushed the battery to far. Think I'll keep it closer to the ground @ the end of the pack.
