I have an issue with one of the three Gens Ace Packs for my 450. These were purchased from Xheli, which is also HobbyPartz. I had an issue with my heli dropping HS less than 1 minute into flight everytime I flew. A process of troubleshooting included resoldering all leads in case of cold solder, tyring different ESC's and ESC firmware and then finally realizing it was one of the packs.

After figuring out it was the pack I tested cells immediately after one of the 45 second flights and found one cell significantly lower on voltage than the other two. The one cell is dropping under load and causing LVC. The cell registers fine during and after charge but fails under load. It has done this since first use however the whole process of getting the heli ready for flight and tracking down my issue put me past 30 days return.

I have tried to contact Xheli and HobbyPartz to get help on this issue but I am getting no response.

I had similar issues with 3 packs I purchased a couple months ago. All Gen Aces 1300 3s issues. I sent 5 emails with no response which was expected. I just tossed the bad packs and move on.

I have no issues the the sky lipo brand.

Ive had some issues with my gen ace 55c pack also. One cell never balences out. Pack only has 20 cycles on it... Lee

Well the lack of any type of response from Gens Ace or Hobbypartz just makes it easy for me to move on to another brand and vendor. I can get zippy packs for $17 and get a better pack and better support .

I got this same response in my other thread on HeliFreak and responded to both. I have received no response. I will say what I said in the other thread on HF...

If you cannot help just say so but at least response. I have already moved to a different pack and vendor so respond because its what you should do and not because you think you will keep my as a customer.

Ya know I been having trouble with Gens Aces lately. About a month ago I threw away a 3s 2200 that was only a few months old because it had a bad cell, today I flew my Zero and on 3 diff 4s packs 4000 and 2 3000 mAh it had little or no power after 2 minutes of flight at wot so I had to land. Finally I hooked up a watt meter and after a couple wot's static testing it would bog down after a few seconds.

I switched over the display to show me cell voltage and one cell would drop down to 2.0 to 1.89 per cell. Wow. Everytime I would land the lipo was hot too. Only pulling like 60 amps the cells would have 3.8v but undfer a load 1 would go below 2.0 and that was all she wrote. The 4s are 30c cont and like 60 burst so should be able to handle the discharge rate.

I think I have quite a few bad Gens and paid alot of money for them and what I thought would be great lipos. Not so sure now. I have 2 yr old Turnigys still performing so I dont think im doing anything wrong.
