New round trip world record 71/142 Km.

Hi everybody.

After a long and cold winter this week in Madrid we enjoyed a warm and lovely weather especially for soaring. The thermals yesterday were amazing, sometimes the lift was almost 7 m/s.

After a short motor launch (24 s.) inmediately I found a powerful lift that lead me to a convergence line of lifts topped by a long pop corn cumulus avenue.

In 3 hours I was already crossing the 70 km milestone. I couldn´t believe it, the video was almost perfect and the RC link maintained 30-40% RSSI. I think I could have continued to 80 km but I was afraid about the returning conditions and I stopped in a thermal at 71 Km. out.

The way home was really easy and fast, because of some tailwind and good thermal lifts. In 1h22m I was landing at the base airfield.

Here you are some tech information:

Set Up:

Glider: Fascination (Top Model CZ).

Looks like your antenna on the left wing changed from the picture of you holding the plane to the one in flight ?

I see you use a one battery system for the plane

and basically all your mah used was for servos and fpv stuff etc. not motor use very much

could you share which regulator or share how your power to the video tx and camera osd?

do you take the power from the balance plug of the 12 volt 10400 battery

or do you regulate that volt to the fpv stuff on the plane
