I see it more as a wow factor....a quick spin in the middle of a pass, at the top of a half-pipe pump....or just before it plows into Sean's back

I've seen one of those Parkzone Strikers doing an inverted flat spin. It goes for as long as you like and does about 3 spins per second...(guess), like a "frisbee"
I beleive it prefers inverted to upright. OK!.......it has twin rudders and is a delta wing.

Just a question!
Do the wings need to generate lift in a spin?
How many spins is enough?
Sean, I suspect the factors on the Stryker are a combination of swept LE delta wing, twin rudders funneling air flow and pusher prop power driving the rotations. When I watch flat spins, either inverted or upright, I see the nose drop along with the inboard wing. What I think Steve is looking for is more of a flat 360 rotation on an axis vertical to the midpoint of the wing, either hovering or sliding along a horizontal path kind of like a boomerang rotates. Let's borrow somebody's DLG, put a full flying MadRudder on it then have a right-handed athlete throw the sucker with a late release while holding full left rudder and see what happens.

Ken

PS; watching you guys flying Weasels at Maitlands is a hoot. Thanks for sharing that session. Does Bakkie's flight insurance cover Medical Liability??

Hey Steve and Phil!
Nice to have you along!
Graham1234 has me caught up in some light weight flying....
I am trying to learn, and perhaps we can apply some of their fundamentals.
If you can do this to a 280g plane. there must be something in it!

Here is a small clip.
Oh, and of cource the music is by....
GoldFish!
