I have been doing some VTPR training with the Mig but I think I might have to step-up my training program and get my "normal" fish going

Mig7 - Slope Fun (4 min 22 sec)

......But the problem is remembering those thoughts and deciphering the cryptic notes one made while having them.

Been hoping you three would jump on the VTPR wagon. You've got the flying skills, building talents, slopes and degree of Savoire Faire Devil May Care Huevos Grandiosos Insanity called for.

Now, about that GoldFish............I assume the dorsal fin will be retractable/extendable as needed for knife edge. Have you considered pectoral and pelvic finlets for additional fine control and, if so, will you build them strong enough and jointed to allow for "running starts" and upright touch n' gos? And how about extrudable tungsten paste ballast with an aft outlet hole?? Nothing says "Goldfish" louder than a trailer turd.

Hey, It's all good!

There is some rational thought to all this confusion and madness...

The aim is not just to rush out and build a fishy object!
We need your participation and interaction to formulate what will ultimately result in the GoldFish.
What we have to date is,,,,
- We have shown you that we have the passion to fly! (In your face type acro)
- Maitlands will be our slope of choice for the GF.

So based on the above, we will start injecting creative thought and physical restraints that need to be taken into account!

Let the games begin!

Jim this was one of the big concerns which are being addressed as we speak. Johann the Alchemist is currently (like physically now) in a meeting with a DLG builder and a DLG pilot who I believe is top 10 in the world of DLG.

An American-ish guy once said "instead of reinforcing everything to survive a crash you need to make it "lite" to survive a crash".

Hehehe
Yeah. other than the optimal physical weight distribution....
It has to be light!
Sooo
For those of you that have missed me the last few months,

I had a quick sortie over to the DLG world....
If they can do it,
So can we!

I think Steve "The Piscine Promulgator" may have it right with his French Swan idea.
Basically shape a DLG pod and boom (Like Adams "long skinny thing")
Then fit a flat lightweight removable dorsal fin.
Construction will have to be a moulded fuz using a medley of carbon and kevlar for strength, weight and durability!
I'll have to see what the committee says!
