Nice looking plane, not very scale though. The flying video is not so special, no roll, no loop, just flying around like 2ch plane.

Cute. I wish there were some specs.

I tend to agree on the scale aspect or lack there of. The Spad is a tough ship for a few reasons, one of which is that it never looks right with dihedral. Still, it would be a nice addition to all the similar sized WWI bipes we have.

Scale keeps getting better as does micro gear in general, so I hope this becomes available to start the ball rolling on competition and improvement.

Pete

If you go to their website they have a DVII also. Any info on availability? Not much info on website. Sent an e-mail with no reply so far.

These look like the micro WW1 warbirds from the inventor of Snap&Fly! Nice to see them closer to production.

Kinda looks like a foam version of a Comet dime scale (16" ws) Spad. They should have at least took a broom to the floor of that place before flying.

I wonder if Flyzone is going to distribute these as they did the Uberlites from the same inventor. The wings look more beefy/robust than those on the Albatros and DR-1. I also like that they are finished on the bottom.

Video of the Fokker DVII:
Micro Fokker DVII (0 min 54 sec)
I like the Spad video better since it shows more continuous flying and not so many close-ups.

Hey... what's wrong with a scale WWI plane flying over a scale like artillery bombed landscape?

Where can I purchase these from?
On the YouTube video, it states that a Chinese company manufactures these (www.h-an-q.cn). I emailed them, but got no response back !

These planes were first "announced" over a year ago. http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1409640 While there is obviously a working prototype, I see no evidence of them coming to market, at least as far as US distribution is concerned.

Found a link for the H&Q Spad and Fokker DVII planes. The Spad shows as no longer available. The price for the DVII is great but the shipping is a killer!
