Midwest Soarer vintage 2m kit
Vintage Midwest Soarer kit, span 78", 2 meters. Kit is complete and not started. Looks like one piece of strip wood is broken at the end. The broken end is visible in one of the photos.

Thanks for the nice words JC!
Anybody out there ever build and/or fly one of these Midwest Soarers? Please chime in! Might be a while on a build thread from me on this Sailplane. Have a few in the Que. that I would like to finish up first. These are some shots of a Sagitta 900 that I am building . The build is box stock. Polyspan fabric and Randolph's Clear Butyrate Dope for covering. Deciding how to finish paint in is next. I love the way it looks now, and the way the light filters through it. It will definitely retain that transparency through the open bays, but we'll see how it all ends up in a couple of weeks. |
