1/8 scale buggy pinion gear
i am converting my kyosho inferno MP7.5 nitro buggy into a electric brushless buggy. I'd like to know what size of pinion gear should i put on the motor if i use the stock spur gear and a 2250 Kv motor on 4s lipo battery ??

1/8 buggy pinion
I converted a Ofna LX comp for my buddy with the stock spur and a 2400kv motor we ran a 18T pinion on 3-cell and has esc and motor temps around 110 degrees. I would start somewhere between a 18-20T pinion for 4s and your motor. Should be able to gear taller if temps aren't too high for that starting point.

How's your conversion going. I run Castle creations setups mamba monster with 18-22T on 2200KV motor on 6S, 5S and 4S. On road and off road.
Here is a recent attempt at 100MPH that came up short but still fast. Inferno GT

Thank you, I think with a little taller gearing we could get 90+ out of it but we'd need to find a better place to run it.
