Heres my setup for the 400mm version:
Motors: Suppo 2208/17 1100Kv
ESC: Reflashed Suppo 10A
FC: Multiwii Flip
Battery: Turnigy 2200mAh 3s 35C
Prop: Gemfan nylon 8x4.5

And setup for Mini version:
Motors: Suppo A1510 2230Kv
ESC: Reflashed Suppo 10A
FC: Multiwii Flip
Battery: Nanotech 1000mAh 3s 45C
Prop: Gemfan nylon 5x3

Do they both check out?
Also I seem to remember vtail had an option to set motor angle,
did that get removed at some point?

I received my frame yesterday!! Woohoo!! I can confirm that the Nanowii board does line up with the mounting holes on the frame of the 400mm version.

Neat. :P Care to toss your frame on the ol' scales real quick so we know exactly how much an empty 400mm frame weighs?

Contemplating this to be my next build after I get a feel for mine and eventually destroy it :-D 2 questions though
1 would the following equipment lead to a well performing machine?

Dji 2212/970 (I think) motors
Dji 30A opto esc
MultiWii pro 2.0
4s 3300mAh
And 8in props?

2. How much different does it handle compared to a regular X-quad configuration? I'm fairly new to the quad scene but learning quickly and looks like yaw would be improved greatly with this kind of set up

And lastly damn good job gentlemen for designing in my opinion the coolest looking configuration yet :-D
