Dumas Lil Swamp Buggy -2 or 3 blade prop?

I'm an "oldtimer" just getting into electrics so this may be a dumb question but here goes. I'm building a Dumas Lil Swamp Buggy and have a 1240kV outrunner motor on order. All the electric buggies I've seen use 2-blade props but the old gas Cox engines used 3-blade.props. Is there a reason 3-blade props are not used with electrics? Thanks, Stan

Stan They are rarely used as they were hard to find in the LHS, on mine I used a 3 blade in hopes of increased power, lower noise. Got the power but the noise issue is an ongoing research project.

Stan, three blade props are worth using as they lower the diameter needed and therefore the centre of gravity is lower. Leads to better stability.

I use a 70watt/1700kV motor in my 12inch model

Thank you both for your replies. Interesting comment about the noise, not sure why that should be unless it is related to design of the prop cage. And I've found few choices for 3-blade props. I'll experiment with props once I've had a few runs with a "normal" 6x4 prop.
