Wanted
Extreme Flight Yak-54 Electric Arf mains

I'm looking for the main landing gear for this plane. I picked one up at auction NIB and when I got home the gear was not there. Out of production for some time, no direct replacement available from Extreme.
Thanks,
lumpy649

Check the 3DHS site. I think the Aspera gear is very close.

I have that plane, and it's stock gear is very flimsy aluminum. I replaced mine with cf gear - pretty sure it's from my PA AMR (rip) http://www.precisionaerobatics.com/p...ls.php?pid=403 - not a bad price, either. There are likely a number of others that will work, also.

Personally, I think it looks better with cf.

Hope this helps.

I'm almost certain I used Aspera gear, angled forward. Worked well on our grass field. If I hadn't given the plane to a club member I could have checked to be sure.

Thanks for your help guys. It looks like the Aspera gear is no longer avaiable. Graph Tech is working on a solution for me but it's a bit hard with out dimensions. So far Steves solution is looking good, and the amr gear is available.
Steve, does the amr gear have a swept forward stance? If not is gound tracking ok?
Thanks,
Gary

Gary,

Unfortunately, the gear is not swept forward; but, I don't think the stock gear was either. However, you could achieve the desired geometry by carefully shimming the trailing edge of the mount.

Did you check with EF to see if they have any other gear that will work?

Good luck.

Steve

EF wasn't too helpful in my view, especially when they have several planes in the same size, but who knows, maybe they wouldn't work.
