Trail finder 2 vs. Trail finder

Hi, i am really interested in the trail finder 2.

My question is, what is the benefit in waiting for the TF2? The TF1 is about the same price if you factor in the body, has all the same specs and has METAL drive shafts while the TF2 has plastic ones. Is the TF2 worth waiting for? What makes it better?

Also, what bodies fit the TF1? Is it only the Tamiya High Lift one?

Thanks.

I saw a TF2 at a meet this weekend, and the builder said the only plastic was the body, nothing else. Maybe he spent more, I'm not sure.

It was a fantastically powerful trail blazer, powering through mud past it's axles and pushing a stuck not-quite-so-good-in-the-mud vehicle...

Grey pickup truck IIRC, Ford perhaps, but can't remember exactly.
