Gettin Started on building my Cheetah for Q-Offshore. Got the Rudder and Strut brackets mounted and stuffing tube hole drilled. Mocking up placement before permanent install.

Looks like Ray is going to do a build here on RCG.
Did that hull come with that nice c/k cloth or was it an add in that you did? Looks good.

Looking at the photos, I would suggest lengthening out the stuffing tube a bit or moving the motor a little to the rear to close up that gap. You don't want to be installing one of my famous "pretzel drives"


PS: If you talk to Dave he would probably make you a set of aluminum side rails for that mount to accomodate a full length 1527 jacket.

The hull comes with the Carbon/Kevlar installed. Not bad for $170.

That's not the actual stuffing tube. It's the 9/32 through hull part. The actual 1/4" stuffing tube goes inside that and will be much closer to the collet.

Still debating with myself on what I'm going to do for rails. I did think about calling Dave for a set of rails, but I don't think the ones he made for your P-Mono are long enough either.

Yeah, concerning the motor placement, from the third pic you can see that the stuffing tube is entering at a steeper angle, so the motor should go towards it some and then be angled down a bit more. Looks like a very nice hull!!

The rails in the Titan would def be too short. The 1521 maxxed them out but all he'd have to do is make it a little longer for the 1527.
WRP actually has an adjustable bottom mount for the 1527. I bought one a long time ago for my Miller American.

Did you switch motors? Now it looks like your mount would accept a full jacket.

I was just coming in to see where you went since there were no updates yesterday. Then I noticed some more pix slipped into that last post. Somebody is playing sneaky. Where's that little spy guy when you need him.

I am struggling with where to put the Speedo. There is limited vertical space in the hull. Suggestions are welcomed.

I am noodling the idea of a hinged shelf that spans the coupler area, with the attachment/pivot points being the two screws I used for the mount extensions.

Well, my crazy idea worked. It will be held down by a zip tie.
