My Front Brake Setup - VMX 450
This Vmx 450 as more than 75-80 packs throught it.
But it was well maintened throught the time and mod.......
It's the first batch with metal gears upgrade gyro - Free from Venom....Thanks
For the front brake setup i use a Hitec HS-85MG servo,
A Flak Jaquet graphite covered cable. rest of mountain bike setup
This cable have very smooth action and not lenghten under load, so if i set
my Dx3R Pro TX at 100% travel for brake action , the front wheel locked...
Too much power...so i set set the travel to 75% and i get result i want.
When set to highter setting you see the bike front suspension compress...just like the real thing,Great Bike I love It.........
The Blizard SR for winter...

Care to explain a little more why a different wire? You said the stock wire stretched. What results did you get with the stock brake wire when upgraded to the mg servo? How thick is this new wire? The cover makes it look like overkill for situation. Can you provide links to items used?

When i installed the hitec servo with the stock cable,i only get a little more braking power.
So when the cable broke because it stretched, i upgrade to a bigger diameter to see the difference in braking power . Result = Wow...much more braking power - Night and Day...
Don't lose the power of the servo in the cable, because it don't stretch.
I don't have any links for the Flak Jacket wire.I buy a kit for my mountain bike locally a couple years ago, so i made the VMX cable with the rest of this kit.
I only say that the wire is covered with graphite - Very smooth action on the VMX.
The diameter of the wire is 0.045 inch.
The diameter of the outer tube is 0.100 inch.
For installing this cable you need to drill (0.063 inch) the cable lever and the 2 black
For the cover, i made it HD because i want that the cable rest in place and don't interfere
with the fork when it compress or extand, or when i turn left or right.
I very like the results it give.....

Well, Ive seen a few other comments on forum for stronger action on this brake so it sounds like you figured out an option...upgraded servo and stronger cable. I have an upgrade servo, so some day I'll shop for the rest to try it out. Thank you for giving out the details, it helps a lot.
So, when are we going to see some stoppie videos from you??
