I got up on the hill early, for me (11am). We had a good crowd when I arrived, although several of our members were at the Gator Aero Tow up in Melbourne: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...1573838&page=3
Wind stayed smooth out of the East at about 10mph, with a few swings to the NE. You'd think the flying would have been excellent, and it was. But several times, the air just seemed like “down air” even with the wind coming dead on. Perhaps some passing thermals sucked the lift away. The end result was everyone at once landing on the slope, weather we wanted to or not.
As a bonus this weekend, the CAF sent the only flying B29, FiFi, to Fort Lauderdale for the weekend. I've added few pictures to the end of the blog.
