The TA has a longer nose again, longer wingspan and tapered wingtips. Also has no guns on the nose, but still has the two wing canons and 30 mm canon through the spinner. Pressurised cabin, ejector seat etc.

I see that scheme a lot around the web. Not a huge fan of all the red personally, but it seems popular.

Cheers,

Steve

Nice plane mate

Yeah I wish FMS would do a 1700 version of either, A8 or D9. I think it will be a while though as the response I got back from them was "they currently have no plans for a 1700mm FW-190."

Doesn't mean that they wont do it at some stage though

No problem...LDM, that paintjob and build is superb! I would of thought it was a new model by how well you converted it with the smooth shaping. That will surely turn heads at the field...You should tell them a new company called LDM made this and you got a prototype!

Certainly appreciate all the hardwork! I've been waiting to see the first D9 conversion - wish someone would dedicate a full kit to it. I'm just getting to the A8 kit and peeling off the stickers for a bash.

My Alfa D9 has had more sorties than most and is still carrying on. I definitely need to get a larger size though. I built the Top Flite Kit years ago and even Namey's IMP 80" kit (purchased second hand and had wing cores cut wrong). A 1400mm or 1700mm would be just about right though!

Nice work! I suspect we'll start seeing more D-series modifications come out over time.

Nice work Dambit! Also - don't forget to extend your vertical fin out - the rudder hinge datam line moved out on the D series along with the nose and fuse extensions.

Cheers mate.

Yep I've extended the tail section already, but need to remove and reattach it as it's not quite plumb with the rest of the plane.

Nice work - this is one build I'm going to need to track. D9 is my personal favorite and you're doing it justice!

Do you have an independent build thread going?
