In the nitro boat we use 1800ma nimh AA in a holder. We get them for $3 with a two year warranty. They will make up a five cell pack no charge for the labor. With leads, no ends.

All my overpowered IC plane use NiMh batteries. the Li-Pos are too light for the CG...

I bought a 2cell 1300 lipo for my escapade and man I don't see a bigger battery fitting. Ill have go do a few flights and figure out how many before a recharge. Recharge takes about 5 minutes the pack cost 4.40

Reminds me of my Strega 40. It has a small 2S 750Mah in the same place as yours.

I easily get a days flying without worry. Probably around 8 flights with 4 servos.

Two things. I use a 6V NiCd with at least 1000 milliampere hour rating. No drop fears here.

Second is that the craze for digital watches is all but gone. Now you find analog faces with digital windows for precise read outs. And all high end wrist watches are mechanical. There are a ton of analog read out watches driven by crystal control works now days, all very accurate. Timex, Seiko, Citizen all make good watches with digital innards and analog read outs. But you know that anyway, right?
