DLG Colorado - April 22 - TS Qualifier
DLG Colorado - April 22nd - TS Qualifier
CD is Bob Pederson
RMSA's first DLG TS qualifier was a huge success and we're ready to start planning for the April contest. For a change of pace, we will have the contest up at my place in the Colorado foothills. (map and address follows) I have 35 acres of fields and hills to play with so the flying conditions will definitely be something different than we are used to. You will find it fun and challenging. I guarantee that you will have a good time.
Since this will be at my home, you don't have to worry about toilet facilities. Please feel free to bring along your spousal units or significant others.
This single-day event will be AMA-sanctioned, and will count as a Team Select Qualifier contest.
Depending on the size of the turnout and weather conditions, we'll have anywhere from 6 to 8 rounds of F3K fun. Details of tasks will follow in a future posting.
Lunch will be provided along with water and Gatorade. If you want something different to drink, you'll need to bring your own.
Entry fee will be $5.
It's a good opportunity for those lacking in their TS points to perhaps get closer to the TS Qualification.
I plan on using AD's F3KMaster program for running the time-keeping for us. It'll be a good opportunity for those that have his program on their Droids to come use it in a real environment. I know Adrian picked up a list of comments and improvements from the March contest and will be working to incorporate them in the coming weeks.
Please let me know in this thread if you're planning on coming.
See you in April

I'd like to sign up for this,if you'll let a new Mexican pilot join ya.
But I have a question-since it a long way for me and it's a one day event, would anyone want to fly the next day or go flyfishing?(with me)

You can do both! I live only 20 minutes from the Big Thompson river and fish it regularly. You wouldn't even have to bring gear. I can loan you anything you may need.
Sign up now and reserve your space in the boat
PS: I just saw your profile, I guess you have everything you may need Nice hog in your avatar. By the way, I do have a boat and we could float the Colorado.

We can definitely work something out for staying locally. Check your PMs.
Anyone else that would like to come and has a long drive, I have plenty of room for camping. Facilities are included I even have a Pop up camper I can set up that will sleep 4 comfortably.

Dave's right, this isn't just a local contest. We want to see as many people here as we can get. Hey, it's Colorado. Plenty to do here. Make the contest part of a family vacation.

Count me in!! maybe. I don't have to go on travel until the next day so I should be able to attend.
Channel 56 but fully synthesized if I need to get on a different channel for a fellow classic radio lover
