Hoser:
it's abit smaller and lighter because it's an 8s2p. 16 cells total compared to 24 cells in the TP. capacity is also less though. 4.4hr.
i should get an easy 7-8min @ 36a.
here's the link

Gregg,

When are you going to do the maiden?

I'd like to see it.

I've always liked this plane and kit.

Congrats on the new bird.

Thanks Gregg,

I'll try to make it. Good place to test.

Thanks for posting the Tanic pack photo & link, GregF. You sure showed out-of-the-box thinking. Can you please clarify the pack arrangement? I take it from the photo that you have two cells per layer in series, then series with the next layer. The two 4S then hooked in parallel?

Second the 7 to 8 minute duration based on my 6S4P-7800's, only you will have have 25% more top end power! Also, you will triple your flight enjoyment. Instead of a take off & a landing circuit sanwiching 3 circuits of flying with GP3000, you should now get about 9 flying circuits plus the take off & landing.

I'll be glad to do the same in my EJF18E. I still have the 30/3. Should shed a half lb AUW with that & the Schubie

Is your field too rough to do gears? Your earlier flight pixes seem so.

Phil:
each pack is 4s2p. the cells are rather long, they assembled the pack in two groups of four. each pack is two cells in length.

i usually fly the jets at an all electric club field. it's a bit rough for retracts there. but thats were the jet action is!
i fly the El Bandito at a public field with a nice runway.

battery tray installed.
the tray has two ply small ply blocks underneath. 2 6/32 screws hold it from the fuse bottom.and two small screws are countersunk from under the velcro.
you can see the whip antenna mounted on the side of the fuse.
