This a 1w 2.4ghz booster that I've been using on my modded DX7--it's a high quality device, originally bought at $60 for a boosted 2.4ghz DIY project. Worked like a champ, but now I've moved on to the DX8 and EzUHF so I've got no reason to keep it. Used for several flights, in like new condition. I can provide some general guidance for anyone wanting to do their own homemade boosted 2.4ghz system. Looking for $40 shipped OBO. Comes with antenna, but no power source, requires a simple jack-type connection from your TX's 9.6v batt for power.

So is this just plug and play??Does it need a seperate power source??? Will it work on dx6i??

This is not a plug and play item, this is a high quality amp that is to be used in a DIY boosted 2.4ghz application--though all you really need to buy for this is a suitable dc style jack to give it power (maybe a buck), and a female sma connector to attach it to the radios RF out connector (maybe 5 bucks). Overall, using this thing is pretty easy, you just need to buy two parts and read over the build thread online. There's no soldering or anything, you bascially open your radios case and clip on a little connector and that's it. Pretty simple.

I would not recommend powering this with 9.6v. The power supply that comes with these is 5v.

Both of mine say 6V. I use a UBEC to the 2S lipo in my DX8. I think the 4.8v battery in the DX6i might not be enough.

Volto is right, I miss-typed, this is a 5v booster (my other one is 9.6v)
