How Obama Is Choking Off U.S. Oil Production

The details on the lies, the evasions, the deliberate half truths of the Obama on the production of the hated fossil fuels for the US economy and the little people in it, all 300+ million of us.

Increased production is in *spite* of Obama, not because of him. Imagine how much more there would be if he and his party did not stand squarely in the way on the basis of their unicorn dreams.

Quote:
Obama will soon be personally responsible for preventing some 2 million barrels per day of possible North American crude oil production from reaching the American economy

...

Two millions barrels per day of oil production would affect not just the price of gasoline in North America, but also the economics of world oil production: The president is preventing the U.S. from increasing oil production by an amount nearly equivalent to Iran’s total oil exports
.
get these clowns out of the way, and let the market decide who's right about the effects of production.

And a second article from the same author...Obama wanted higher fuel prices, not the boom in domestic production which he now claims as his own for reasons of political expediency. His earlier statements and those of his energy Czar could not be clearer in intent. They want to manipulate, interfere, intervene, and centrally plan American energy choices.

More details on Obama's war on fossil fuels..

No proof or sources in the article. It's an Op Ed piece.

obammy is taking credit for the increase in domestic oil production here in the U.S. Of course, since it takes a few years for an increase in production to show up in the market, it is because of former President Bush that we have the increase now. obammy has done everything he can to limit domestic production and to put us more dependent on mid east oil, completely opposite of what he keeps on telling us. In 1985 or thereabouts we hit our peak production of about 9 million barrels per day. Now we are down to about 5.4 million barrels per day. To listen to the present occupant of the White house tell it, we are producing more now than ever. But, obammy, in his self proclaimed infinite wisdom, stopped the pipeline from Canada, put a moratorium on drilling in the gulf, won't allow drilling in ANWR. Now supposedly he lifted the moratorium, but many of the rigs are gone, and few permits are issued. I wonder if he ever thinks that maybe the high oil prices are going to catch up with him this November?

Unless presidents are wildcatting, sitting on rigs, doing the geo work and hauling crude to the refineries, this is a silly exercise in the blame game. Speculation and futures trading are what's killing us.

So when Romney gets elected (yeah right) all of a sudden gas is gonna drop to $1.50 a gallon?

Here we go again. You forgot the rest of the graph...the one with the production curve 1-2 million barrels higher.

No, it's a valid excercise in examining the US govt's obstruction of production. Where there are restrictions there is an obstacle, the State is the cause of those obstacles, and noting this is just as valid as noticing the fingers around your throat when someone is choking you, and you apply the blame game for determining them as the cause.

Blaming those who determine price signals for future production is the pointless, and baseless, blame game.

They'd just store it away to prop up their profits.

Investment firms that can influence the oil futures market stand to make a lot; oil companies that both produce the commodity and drive prices up of their product up through oil futures derivatives stand to make even more. Investigations into the unregulated oil futures exchanges turned up major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. But it also revealed energy producers like Vitol, a Swiss company that owned 11 percent of the oil futures contracts on the New York Mercantile Exchange alone [source: Washington Post].

Obama himself said he wanted gas prices to soar. They are. For that brief moment he told the truth, to bad he is now lying about the same subject. This is so typical of this administration. All one has to do it a cursory inspection of his actions and one can see what he is doing to force gas prices to stay high.
