I'd say a 5S2650 will be max battery size. There's room for a 5S3000, but you'll might find it difficult to balance the plane with it. Be very careful to find the right CG - just some millimeters too far back and you'll be asking questions about how to repair a broken fuselage

As I mentioned, I used a 6S 3000mAh pack(actually 2pcs of 3S 3000mAh 40C) with no problems. Still a light setup compared to if you would pop in a 16S round cell pack :-) If I remember right the flying weight was 13XXgrams, or about 3lb.

No parallel connections please. Not needed.

I would say that you should try 4S first and consider leaving the 5S for another model.

For the Kira 600-38: RFM 18x19 F5B Narrow will get you about 3.3kw on decent lipo's and that's the maximum I would be willing to throw at a Hawk, actually a bit over what would smart.
About 2.5kw would be a sane limit for model like this, with some suitably carefull flying. A 16x17RFM wide would probably be suitable.

I am thinking in a "budget" setup if I can't sell my MIG-15, and read something about AXI 2826/08+PG4/33. Not the same I am sure as Kontronik or Hacker setups, but...

Do you recommend me it and what propeller would you fit with 5S?

Too hot for 4S. Jackos runs the same combo on 3S in his Speedfire. Ok if you already have the motor, but if you're purchasing you can get better combos. The popular 1512 setups I think will be a bit over the top in a Hawk, but a 1509/1.5D/6.7 on 4S should be fine with your suggested prop. That will be one hell of a Hawk...

Yuri (Dbox) has run 4S, he is a crazy man. I havent had the balls to try it yet, amp draw isnt really the problem, its the rotor speed will be 60krpm+ 3S is a nice setup, its not hardcore fast, but isnt boring, and my speedfire weighs 2/5ths of feckall, lands like a DLG

AXi's are good motors (or probably more correctly, used to be, a few years ago, most "name brand"are equals with em..not turdygy...). BUT, you simply wont get the same performance as a more hardcore setup, which will cost not much more and make you grin a WHOLE lot more.

Even a cheap chinese 36mm inrunner (on a good gearbox) will get you more performance, and be cheaper.
