Would this be a ok FPV set for beginner? 5.8ghz 500mw
I have spent a lot of time doing my research and this actually seems like a good deal. The FPV sets from hobby king only have a range of less than 1km generally and when I looked at the feedback of the ebay seller, people seemed to be very satisfied with their products. I am a complete newbie to FPV and I'd really appreciate if someone would give their honest opinion on how this stuff seems to look like. Thanks a lot.

That's an rc305 receiver, its good, high sensitivity. Not as good a picture as immersion but further range. That vtx is crap however. I've had two, both failed one in flight. The picture you will receive will not even come close the the pictures in the ad on the eBay link though

Indeed, get the 200mW version instead, the 500mW is fake, is 200mW on steroids.
The black square antenna is crap too.
