Whoops!
My apologies to the entire board

My apologies to the entire board. I'm letting my frustration and my ignorance get the best of me.
All of you are trying to help and you all have helped very much.

Now I think I've got it set up. With one exception, the throttle doesn't engage until almost half way up then at about half throttle it slows down for 3 or 4 clicks then is speeds after that and is smooth all the way to top speed. When I back it back down it hits that 'slow down' spot on the throttle stick and down a little more it speeds up and goes smoothly all the way to stop.

Can this be tuned out? or is the controller defective
and again my apologies to the board and especially Ribble
DJ

Does the transmitter have programming for throttle curve? These are typically expressed as percent (%) of full and there are typically 5 steps corresponding to stick position: zero, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, and max.

If your transmitter has this setting and the values are other than 0, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, could cause what you are seeing.

Some soften the first step from 25% to 20% if the model tends to lurch upon startup.

Also, THR TRIM must always be all the way down. Not in the middle like the others. If you bound it with THR TRIM in the middle, move it all the way down and rebind.

There are no settings for that, as I recall. It's hard to tell if it's PCB, motor or transmitter. I would suggest playing with throttle trim. It might provide some clues.

Thank you, It does have the 0 25% 50% 75% 100% throttle curve. I'll try setting it on 20%
BTW I have two 9116's and this TX acts the same with either

It sounds like the tx is not setting up properly thus the board is not recognizing low throttle. Sorry, I'm not familair with this heli/tx.

Confirm THR TRIM is as low as it can go. If it is centered, lower it as far as it goes then rebind.

I also do not own this model. I own Spektrum gear. But the same things can apply.
