Swiss Voters are Ahead of the Curve on Spending

Quote:
Voters in Switzerland have rejected a proposal to give themselves more annual leave in a national referendum.

Imagine that; people who understand that getting more "free stuff" isn't really free to begin with, and would cause more damage to the economy.

I say we let Swiss immigrants into the US without having to pass any test or anything. Just let 'em in and put them to work and become part of our solution rather than part of our problem.
No "sex boxes" though. We're going to have to let those stay in their home country.

Swiss are great workers and business owners. However, their obsession with perfection drives everyone else insane.

What kind of a country sets individual vacation time at a national level? Are they a bunch of commies?

Calvinists. Like you used to be before the New Thought.
Swiss society is fascinating. They really have a real, functioning democracy over there. Men also store their army automatic weapons at home there. If you want their citizenship, they ask you do you own any communist books. They also give you free heroin, if you just sign a document.
Swiss are greatly admired here. Their calvinism is as crazy as our lutherianism, for the Roman world at least.

Yes they give you heroin if you ask for it. But the disapproving looks you get are all it takes for you to straighten up. Your mother would be so disappointed.

Maybe the same kind that sets a minimum wage or mandates national healthcare?
