Wow! This thread took my breath away as my father used to fly this Jet during late 70's, 80's and early 90's. He flew for AVIANCA (Colombian Airlines) and did so on 727.

True work horse of the Airline industry back then!

Can't wait to see additional progress!

Just one question,

4,000grams ~ 8.9lbs.

Do you feel that the 70mm will be enough thrust?

I see you like to keep it scale but, I was wondering if 90mm EDF's would not be more in mind for good thrust?

I am no EDF expert, just wondering out loud.

Thanks!
Carlos

Well in my opinion the 70mm fans should be ok.
There are different planes of that size and weight using 70mm fans even with a 4s setup and it works well. (e.g. Windrider 737-700)
Have a similar issue right now. I'm building an A319 with 2m wingspan.
Even if 90mm fans would look better and fit in the nancelles I'll try 70mms because of weight and amps.

Thank you.
I think two HET fans would be sufficient. Total power aproximately 1600 watt. These fans are very well balanced. I measured total thrust 2800-3000kg.
In fact, estimated ( most pessimistic) maximum weight is 4 kg.

This plane is our previous airliner. She is 3.5 kg. She flew with only 1000 watts.

My windrider 737, is 4,3kg - somewhat on the heavy side... The Changesun 70mm fans delivers about 1,2 kg thrust at approx 600W per motor and it flies fine, no problem

Very nice and fast build here. It looks more like in between Yak 40, Bac 111 and HS Trident to me then a B727!, either way beautiful model it's going to be once done.

Thank you, I can not see details of the plane as good as you. I dont have much information about airliner. This is my second airliner but I have alot of EDF plane.

She flew in this weekend. The plane took off and landed very well. I will upload the maiden flight video.
