Thought I would start this since I couldn't find one. Seems like TechOne might get more play now that Nitroplanes is carrying them.

I have three of these. Am building the Extra 330 now - should be done this week. Have built and flown the FlyFun and the SU-31.

So far, I am not impressed with the FlyFun Trainer. I will keep after it for a while, but it flew very badly on the maiden +2/ Really tail heavy and not at all smooth.

The SU-31 flew very well, but seemed a bit under powered - hence the Extra 330 to make use of that power system. Will get something stronger for the 31.

Am looking forward to more flight time on these birds and more discussion on this thread.

Who else is flying these and which ones do you have?

I've flown a lot of the TechOne planes (I'm a dealer). Are you running the AT2216 motor in the SU? With a 10" or 11" prop? What motor/battery are you running in the FunFly?

I didnt find the su 31 under powered at all,even with lower c packs it had plenty of punch for a foamie in its size and weight. Really like the at2216 with the 11x3.8 apc,flying it on a nanotech 3s 25-50c 1300mah pack here. Ive flown quite a few techone planes,i'll make a list of them and add videos of later,they fly well and are priced very inexpensive for what you get.

I was not running the AT2216 motor on the SU-31. I was using a 260 watt motor. It flew OK, but lacked any real punch. I will order the AT2216 motor this week and use that.

On the Fly Fun I am using a 300 sized outrunner with 1300 2s batteries and a 9x4.7 prop. Mostly it is just tail heavy , even with the battery mounted on top of the fuse in front of the cockpit. I think mounting it there made the center of gravity too high - will probably try to hang it under the fuse next to see what happens. I got this one for a grand kid trainer - but so far, at least, I have other trainers that fly better. So far, I have not added any nose weight to the Fly Fun - would rather find a solution without doing that if I can. Am also flying it 3 channel.

Maiden +3 on the Extra today - she flew pretty well. Seems to be some movement in the horizontal stab with elevator input, though, so I need to stiffen that up some. But I was happy with how she performed

I just placed my order for the TechOne Extra 330. I've been looking at these foamies for a couple weeks and finally decided to pull the trigger on one. I'm really looking forward to getting it up in the air.

Have any of you guys experienced any issues putting the Extra 330 together? My buddy just got a Yak 54 and had some problems with the servo mounts being mis-measured (even after triple checking the instructions) and requiring push rod replacements. I don't mind hacking together a fix, I just like to know what I'm up against.

I have built the Extra and the SU-31. Both went together with no issues.

Flew the venus over the weekend,spring is here finally.. a bit windy but still nice to fly and the venus is really crisp even in high wind.

Bent the motor shaft on mine yesterday on a crash - ordered some new shafts and another motor.

Also ordered a Swift Kit and the TechOne motor for the SU-31

Can anyone tell me how many watts the AT 2814 motor for the Swift is? Or where I can get one?

Well I started the build on the Swift - she showed up today. I think I am going to try an E-Flite Power 10 and HiTec HS-65hb servos and see what happens - those are ordered.
