the UHF receivers I make have built-in 2x 50w LED (or igniter) driver, the flying wing in the video use only 0.5w for LEDs but these StrawHat (ebay) wide angle LEDs visible from mile away. I fly often at city beach and women like random blinking pink/purple

I do about 90% of my FPV fling at night, and out of all the LEDs I've tried, these have been the best ones

Depends on what you want them for... I don't use mine for any kind of LOS flying (I don't really know "how" to fly LOS anyway - so no big deal). I use mine to make the plane easier for other pilots to spot - think formation flying at night.

I have a single white Flytron strobe near the tail and one mounted on the left side of the plane under the wing. Both are controlled independently by switches on my radio and powered from the RX.

I also have them set to light up in the event of failsafe. You can see them from 1 mile away.

Which battery do you use??

today we've tried green lasers on our wings
it was mistake to have lasers fixed while camera was pan/tilt controlled, should 've them other way. Also wind was too strong for formation flying.
tomorrow we'll fly with scanning lasers

today the lasers were connected parallel to LEDs that's why beam is pulsing
tomorrow it will be solid beam w/ programmable scan, somewhat like PT I posted couple days ago but much faster

that laser video was cool! although i wonder how far away those beams could harm eyes?

it takes a minute to slightly unfocus the laser
then it is safe as LED
