Futaba S.Bus - Can I use a simple Y extension to expand the bus?
can I simply use a y-aileron extension or do I need a Futaba hub or terminal box?

Yes, verified it works with the Y. In my case, SBUS port on rx feeding Y can feed the SBD-1 decoder and any attached analog servo. You can even have the battery out there. Which would be useful in the case of a 2nd battery mainly.
The options for programming include the CIU-2, and SBC-1. You can use the rx but it is much less capable. I just went CIU-2 (USB dongle) which is the most capable since I like the system so far and plan to stay with Futaba. |
