Blade 450 3D help needed

OK, is there a Dedicated Blade 450 here or on any other forum?
My buddy got one (by mistake) to get back into Heli flying before he flies his new 550. Long time heli pilot who's used to big smooth flying helis.
I helped him for about 1 flight tweeking it. But the cyclic was not stable and the tail servo was drifting and never holding. Not a gain issue.

Are these supposed to be better than the old Blade 400, cause I'm not feeling it. I've set up DOZENS of 450 clones for friends and locals that are more stable than this thing.
Maybe if I get some info on special tweeks, I won't have to spend too much time with it,
Thx.

I've seen hit or miss when it comes to the blade 450 3d, my tail drifts, not badly but enough to be like.. wow, really? Also go register on helifreak as they have a blade 450 forum dedicated to the 3d and X.

Interesting. I have a B 450 3D and my experience is very good so far. But I can't compare with anything else of a similar size or bigger as this is my first 400 size heli. Mine seems very stable and smooth with the tail locked well enough, at least the way I've set it up. Not tried anything more than normal forward flight. I've got my eyes on a T Rex 550 so will be better able to compare with that.

Actually Tony, my blade 450 3D drifts back and to the left, (though close to the ground) so not sure if its something I can trim, sub trim or if its simply the ground effect.

i'm comparing to my other 450 clones and the align 450 and 450 pros. I'm gonna have to dig into this one for him to get him flying. After I tweeked it the best I could in 1/2 a flight, he hovered it and almost threw it against the wall. I think it's salvagable but I gotta spend more time on it.
