Castle link encountered problem? Castle link encountered problem?

I have a lot of castle ESC's and amongst them 2 1/18 scale sidewinder
micros (Mamba 25). I just bought a field link programmer to update the
firmare on all my speed controls. One of my SW Micros updated
perfectly, but the other doesnt seem to want to connect to the
software. Every time I plug it in, the Castle Link software crashes
instantly and says: castle link encountered problem needs to close. I
am running it from windows xp and I've tried on multiple usb ports.
Any suggestions?

Maybe you got a bad download.

Uninstall the software.

Download a new copy.

Install the new copy.

If that’s no good than call Tech Support tomorrow.

Tried that with 2 different computers. Cant reach them through Tech Support, it puts me on hold and eventually hangs up on me. I've emailed them 4 days ago and no response yet.. Pretty crappy service..

If anyone else has this problem I found the solution here:

For me version 3.26 did the trick and now it is recognized by 3.50.20

Got the same problem on one of the Win7-32 machine. Castle link WORKED before I upgraded it to 3.50.20.
Uninstall, clean a CC folder, download soft and install again few times. No use.
I can install and start the program but if I connect ESC - it will crash

ESC - CC Ice75, BEC not disconnected.

I also tried it on second Win7-64 machine - no problem there. So it is not ESC or link itself. It is comp or soft.

Any ideas?
