808 #16 Keychain Cam Vs GoPro Hero

Threw together this little vid comparing the two. Out of curiosity, which one do you all think is better? I love the go pro but after seeing the video from the #16 I might choose that one given the weight and price

The GoPro will give you a better image vs. the 808 but it all depends what your doing with the final product. If you're viewing it on your phone you won't see a difference. Watching it on your 24" monitor or 50" HDTV the GoPro will be much better.

The models that are flying the camera will also be a big factor. Some models are too small to fly the GoPro and the 808 would be the only option. The best option is to buy both, I did! The GoPro is better but there are planes and mounting locations where only the 808 will work.

When I get the wide angle lens for my #16 I can do a side by side comparison using about the same FOV.

The limited field of view with the keyfob is my main gripe with these.
And the #16 is -wider- than all the others!
The propellor "aerobatics" with the keyfob are more pronounced, also, but this could be a FOV situation also.

I also have both but the #16 fits easily to my V120 and my V200 sized helis. The V450 wouldn't notice the #16 but I need to take care about CoG etc if I ever get around to mounting the GoPro in it. So for now, GoPro is nice but the #16 is more accessible and has good enough quality for my messing about/curiosity videos.

The main difference (apart from the field of view)is the filming speed producing smoother video with the Go Pro at 60 FPS (which apparently will be rectified with the new keychain camera under development.

agreed... the 808#16 is a bit more shaky than the gopro at 60fps. What "new keychain camera" are you talking about?

The keychain camera 808 #16 has been great for fpv so far, we use it so much, especially with Lens D. Convenient and light weight. Any chance of comparing the new #26 with GoPro or maybe the #16 1080 promised to be out this year? A buddy of mine started testing HoryzonHD v3 60fps, a few videos out at http://youtube.com/diydrone I will be interested in seeing those comparisons at half the cost to a gopro3 silver for that 720p 60fps.
