Thanks for the compliments. I hope its a good flyer as well. Most of the reports in the 190 thread so far are good. Hopefully I can maiden it this weekend if the weather is nice.

Regards
Alan

Great looking paint job you have there on that FW. It is going to look great tearing up the sky. Good luck with the maiden.

Nice thread guys ...Now that im back glad to see that Dynam has stepped it up. I was very impressed with their initial offerings. I had a couple of the A-10's nice edf's for the money. I have no doubts their me262 is goin to be very nice and priced right. I can see im going to have a new hangar full of dynam warbirds .... DJ

I can get replacement parts down at my local hobby shop and if they don't have them they can order direct from the factory.

Need Help w/ Dynam ESC

Maidened the FW-190 tonight and I love the way the plane flies! What I did not like however was the way the motor pulsed like a revving a car. Nearly crashed on takeoff when it started doing that. Of course none of this showed up in tests. Once I got it up and trimmed out it seemed to only do this at about 60-65% throttle. Exactly where I like to fly them.

Anyway I have the timing set to high, soft start. The only sign I had of any issue in tests was at the very lowest throttle setting where it would pulse right where the motor starts to turn but then as you advance the throttle that went away. (I hope its not the connections. I really did not want to mess with them.)

Any ideas
Alan

Hhmm that is quite strange. Mine pulses at the low throttle setting just as the prop starts to turn but all my electrics do that. Have never had it higher in the throttle range before. I gather you have already tried re-calibrating the throttle setting.

Have you got a spare esc that you can try out as a mate had a similar issue and it was a faulty esc. You can only try that and see.

Changed the timing to low and the Cutoff to "soft cut" and now all seems fine so back to the test flight line. Of course in initial testing it never did this either so I guess I'll find out when I get to the field.

Was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the plane. Plenty fast for my tastes.

Love the Dynam ,P-51 But I broke the Prop and bent the prop adapter which I reworked in a vice. But its not true and the spinner wobbles.. But airplane flys...I have searched for a new prop adapter which is 4mm motor shaft ,collet ,40mm long and 6mm prop end,Nut on the end..No Dynam dealer list this part as available....I have been to Tower and h,lobby and no can find...Nitro and Bannana show no listing for the part...

Our wallets will never ever get a break if Dynam keeps this up. Now they have a F4U Corsair coming out...
