rehafner like the poster above you said in wing guns did not appear in the 109 after the E model all the pics on the link you gave were of an E (note the small pointed spinner) almost all including the Dynam model 109's are G models (large rounded spinner) these as far as I know never had in wing mounted guns though they did have hard points under the wing for gun pods I believe.

And I have to agree Merlin I would kill for a Dynam Tempest or Typhoon just gotta love those large intakes under the cowl

The Dynam Corsair is a really nice plane. It flies super. Better performance than I got from their 109 and 190 models. The shorter gear retracting towards the rear is much more forgiving and durable than the gear in either of the models mentioned above. This is a great size too.

I was checking out the 109, 190 and Corsair at my local hobby shop who stock all of the Dynam planes and who have all of them on display.

I must say that I was impressed with the corsair. It is a fine looking plane. I am torn between the 109 and the corsair.

And I hope that Dynam is working on their new Tempest/Typhoon as we speak.

I would be happy to test and prototypes for you Dynam if you are reading this! Haha.

I have had all three of those and they are all NICE flyers... Had because I was foolish enough to fly the 190 in the fog and the blue gray devil, well, you know... I think I read you have had them also? This new Corsair is just great. A bonus is it is a very good slow flyer too.

Too lazy to keep trying the search function for Dynam ME-109. the big one, 1270 mm wingspan.

Nitroplanes have it on sale for $129. With a discount code I can get it for $140 shipped. Code is CYBERWK10 for 10% off.

http://www.nitroplanes.com/60a-dy8951-bf109-arf.html

Is it worth it? Looks nice and big, but I guess it's beer-cooler foam? Are the retracts, gear setup worth the trouble?

I have the E-flite Sea Fury and the PZ P-47, both great flyers.

Any comments/advice welcome.
ps. finally found the ME-109 thread here.

It has been a fun plane for me. The weak point has been the LG. The struts are weak and anything less than a perfect landing may bend the struts. To straighten the strut you do one of 2 things.
Remove them and hold the motor case in a vise & bend the strut. The foam mounting in the wing is not strong enough to hold up to repeated manual bending of the LG (my opinion). Later I slotted a heavy piece of metal which the base of the strut could be slipped into and then bending was done against the metal piece. (not my idea- works great)
It is a really nice flying plane and a better pilot would not have had so much LG trouble.
Fit and finish was good. Hard to see in a gray or blue sky ...

I would not try it. It would be very slow and on the egde of stall speed IMO. With the 500 KV motor its not the fastest on 4S.

I have questions about the dynam f190. I am new to building these planes and got this for Christmas.
I t came with two tubes of glue. The instructions don't say anything about where to use the glue only one spot and that is gluing the plastic hold down for the back of the wing where the screw goes into hold the wing to the fuselage. Where have you gents been using glue on this plane.
I also have a t28 by dynam which I bought used. It takes a 3cell 11.1 2650mah battery. I am a little frustrated that now I have to buy another set of batteries that are 4 cells. I posted earlier and was told that I shouldn't use a 3cell because it wouldn't be powerful enough. Opinions please.
In regaqrds to a 4 cell, is it ok to have a larger mah rating than the 2200 the specs say?

Where are you ordering your batteries from? If you look at the original listing on Nitroplanes, they have two aftermarket batteries that work for the t-28. Sky lipos I believe. As for the 2650mah, I just ordered one, so I hope it works!

I have batteries for the t28 and they are 2650mah and work ok. It's the fw190 I am asking about larger mah than the book says. The book says 2200 and I am asking if I can go with a larger mah rating than that. And an opinion on using 11.4 volt 3 cell instead of 14.8 4 cell on the fw190.

Both tubes of glue are the same, they are a rubber cement type of glue. It works, but you may consider using an alternative.

As far as the difference between the T-28 and the FW-190, the power systems are completely different. The T-28 (and P-51, AT-6, Spitfire) use the 820kv motor/30A ESC/11x7x3 prop combo and it was designed for 3 cell batteries. These were the warbirds that were released last year. All of the newer warbirds that have been released this year (FW-190, BF-109, Corsair, P-47, etc) use a 500kv motor/40A ESC/13x7x3 prop and it was designed for 4 cell batteries.

Now, you can use 4 cell batteries on the T-28 system if you upgrade the ESC to at least a 40A unit. Then you could use 4 cell batteries on it and your FW-190. As far as sizes go, you can go higher. I plan on getting some 3000mah 4 cells later this year for my birds as I would like a little more flight time that what the 2200mah's offer. The battery compartments can definitely accomodate it

Hey guys! I own a Dynam T-28 Trojan, and I just ordered the Dynam P51D! Very excited for the P51 after seeing how nice of a finish the T-28 had. Did they change the pilot from it's original? Or does it still have a civilian pilot?

Yes you can use a larger mah battery than the spec say. The mah rating will only effect your flight times and AUW (hence CG) it does not impact on the motor and ESC.
With my Dynam Spitfire the recomended battery 3s 2200mah I changed to 4s so I had upgrade the ESC to 50amps as the motor draws 32 amps on 4s whereas on 3s the draw was 22amps. I wanted longer Flight times so I had use a battery with a higher mah rating. I switched to zippy 2800mah 4s they weigh about 60g more than the 2200mah the only changes where to enlarge the battery bay by removing some foam and adjusting the CofG to allow for the extra weight..

But where did the glue get used on the fw190. On the wing halves?
