Fair enough, Comanch. I am still working on getting my wheel mod project finished up. I am gluing in my reinforcement pieces right now and will paint later this weekend.

With all this Winter down time I kinda went wild and added flaps to all my dynam warbirds. Good time to beef up the foam around the retracts and do some touch ups too. I did get the chance to test the flaps out on the 190 and I gave it two thumbs up! I have a short runway and only have one way in and out for takeoffs and landings. So landings can be tricky with a tail wind, which means flying it in and greasing the landing. Having flaps just made that a whole lot easier.

Sweet, what type material did you use to make the flap?

I used some 1/8th inch balsa. It's reinforced with another strip of balsa along the hinge and covered with black duct tape. Hardest part is cutting out the foam so the flap is flush, plus you don't want to set the flap too far back because the trailing edge is thin.

Here are the pics. Still need to grind some of the post off the right gear door. Also trimmed about 3/8" off the bottom of the gear doors.

Comanch - between the bigger wheels and the increased rake, nose overs should be a thing of the past for your FW
