I works great on 5s but still has all the slow speed finesse that it did before... No trim changes either!

All I can say is awesome seriously I am very impressed

Beats the dynam ME 109 hands down not even close ...

First off a few notes on the wing mounts the screws supplied are crap ... and a tad two short since I like flying warbirds on windy days ... if you use them I suggest a washer ...

second you know those little allens supplied with the kit??? in the baggy well for you impatient builders out there they go into the gear wheels the collars each have two grub screws so look ...

I like the easy connectors on the wings and I love the clevises on the elevator and rudder ... the ground handling on this bird and the foward rake are perfect ...

pilots crap I put half an FMS piliot inside looks great ...


The best part the very best part a 3300 blue 40 c sky lipo fits PERFECTLY in the tray ...the straps just slip on like nobodys business

The retract rake is perfect and the CG is SPOT on no need for nose weight and believe me if it needed it Id put it in my Dynam spit needed 2 ounces my P51 needs and ounce if I fly 2200 - 2650 four cell on a 3000 its perfect we all know the deal with those two birds retrack rake and upgrades but this one is spot on in my humble opinion

as far as the gear doors are concerned ... good quality plastic as for the struts not the best but not the worst and plenty I mean plenty of prop clearance off the ground

tail wheels crap but aint all of them easy fix

Spinner hub ... Outstanding prop hub very good props themselves hard to come by but they are out there and I aint telling ...

or throw on a MAS three blade ...

what else oh yeah the guns are great ...


Honestly speaking Ive had all of them and Orions going to be pissed if he reads this but if you want a FW thats one you can fly and enjoy get this one

If you want one that flys great but is a pain in the butt with all the issues like lemme see motor problems gear problems and hinges that shall we say arent the best get the FMS one .... Im on my second dont get me wrong FMS is a GREAT bird but like I said this is also a great bird

the gear mounts on the wings the plastic thingys are crap easy fix get gorrilla tape cut two pieces a little larger than the plastic mount and tape them on top then paint that section gray ... the struts will have a harder time pushing the mounts through the wing ...

ive had real good luck with the gorilla glue tape reinforcing the mounts on my FMS p47 and such heavy planes that push the struts through the wings give it a try ...

Just opened the box to my new plane and on one of the boxes was a short jumper with a small circuit board taped onto it. No mention of it in the manual.
Could this be to wire the nav lights? Thanks

I just got mine arrived and build

After "fast" reading the whole thread, It seems 60A ESC + 5S Lipo is the way to go.

I just couldn't find the size of 5C to be used. What is the mAH for 5S that suits this plane?

Hopefully maiden mine this weekend with 4S 2200mAH.

I used a Gens Ace 5s 25c 2200mah pack and it fit in there just fine...

I used a 3300 and it fits like a glove

Mine required a few pieces of lead up front even with 3000 and 3300's

Mine didn't require any lead. I also use a 1000mah 3s for my bec so that could be why.

Like any of the Dynams, this one requires a little bit of tweaking to perfect. If you're reluctant to do a little work, it may not be the perfect plane for you. That said, I flew mine 30 minutes out of the box on 4s as recommended and it flew fine. Several hours of tweaking later it still flies on 4s and is an outstanding, sturdy and dependable flier.

Personally, I view Dynam ARFs as kit planes. I know there are going to be things I need to work on and actually enjoy the work. If you want a more refined out of the box experience, try a less inexpensive alternative but be aware that ALL ARFs need tweaking, it's just a matter of what you are willing to settle for. (sorry about ending that sentence in a preposition, but I couldn't find an alternative wording. Guess my language skills need a little tweaking as well.)

I view dynam planes as kit planes too. Making the flaps for them is part of the fun in my opinion.

They are a bit light for their size though. I wouldn't mind an extra pound.
