More progress to follow, but I'll try to keep a little more quiet this time to make it more exciting.....

*ahem Carboline 39gsm and 58gsm wings and tails

Thank you for the compliments guys, it's the fuel that keeps us going!

Matt, the cardboard jig is something I made for installing top-drive linkages. It doesn't look like much, but certainly gets the job done! No disser, only Kevlar and Full Textreme versions available right now.

also cut the fuselage last night, and installed the quick connect.
It was my first time doing a quick connect installation, so I think it was a little heavier than required...oops!!! hope it doesn't upset my AUW too much

Looking good Thomas! I've also been facebook stalking the build Next time for the wing plug I would recommend trying the 4 pin plugs from Digikey. They are are called .010 header pins if memory serves me right. You can get them for pennies a piece in bulk, and they are much smaller and lighter than the Deans 4pin.

Carry on!

Not cheap, but the best wing connector ever. Atlanta Hobby and a few others carry them normally. I gave up on autoconnect after a couple of bad incidents where hard landings broke loose solder connections.

It's very expensive. I'd like the jack that Thomas use

Thanks Kyle and Tom,

I never noticed how clunky the Deans' were until I tried doing the autoconnect, I probably used about 2 grams of epoxy trying to figure out how to glue it too!

Oleg just posted this in the Validol thread: http://www.hansenhobbies.com/product...pt1in_drrah80/
I really like the look of the angled head, so I will buy a bunch of those to try.

Hi Thomas, Just to remind you that the angled pins are available locally at Sham Sui Po. However, it may only have 2 rows but not 3 rows of pins. In fact you only need four pins for wings.

When I had my Erwin that was all carbon it got very hot in the summer sun and I had to cover it at all times when not flying. Does anyone have any experience with these all carbon DLG wings and extreme heat? I'm thinking the heat can't do the epoxy any good?

Postcuring is mandatory on full carbon wings. Cover them when not in use and you're okay.
