Idea
Homemade bow thruster

Using just plastic syringes (60cc and 10cc), and a bit of imagination.

Pics and vids

Robert

Works really well I think.
A great and inexpensive thruster.

Neat. What is the white glue?

My only concern- the syringes are probably nylon or LDPE... both are very difficult to glue, so I hope you stay leak-free!

Here we have by far the best glue on earth, it's a two components, epoxy cream that sticks to everything, plastic included. I have been using it for years, even in a submarine, both inside and outside, in contact with the water. A British friend of mine asked me to buy it for him, I'm visiting UK in April. He says there's nothing to compare. I even used it to cover a balsa hull, it works as a sealant and gives strength to the hull.

Site in Spanish (Argentina), but they have a link to the English version

Robert

That explains why it works so well,Its made in south america..
Unlike here in North America where if a product works fine and does exactly what it suppose to ,The EPA insist that it be watered down ,vitamin C added,so that the product is a waste of time and money to be bothered with..

Wonder if it can be shipped to North America without a MDS,Whmis, and UN designation.

Great job on the Thruster!!!

Sadly I wish you weren’t telling the truth on this.

Fine job on the thruster!

I don't remember if I had already tested it in a hull when I started the thread; if you go to the album again you will see it working already installed in hull.
