[QUOTE=rerazor;20942381]The S800 ARF kit will come with Motors, Esc's and Props. No Lipo. The preorder is a very good deal. It will come with stock landing gear that you see.

I am a newbie to multirotors, I recentely bought a Flamewheel F450+Naza as a trainer via my local distributor Digitech in The netherlnds. I had questions and found the support of the distributor very good and invaluable.

I now want to move up to a WKM +S800 and was initially very interested in the , pre order dea for the S800

SydneyW - I find it insane (commercially and supportwise) that it cannot be done via the regular channels. Cutting out the importers does not make sense to me. If I am forced order it from from DJI china, I have to pay large shipping costs, and the import duties + local VAT tax based on the MSRP+shipping costs. It will cost me far more than if I wait until the distributor has it. So I dispute it is a good deal, or am I incorrect in my understanding ?

Nozzy,

1) Shipping is free during pre-order
2) Doesn't the importer pay duties + VAT?

Hi Sidney

"Nozzy "is correct here.

as for free shipping perfect from DJI on our next mega order i will gladly remind dji on this

as for import and duties

1. WEEE Clearance? we as importers need to have CE and WEEE confirmed
info here :http://www.reducereuserecycle.co.uk/...at_is_weee.php

2. if the customer imports: he needs to pay : 10% because outside europe purchase.
19% vat on total amount (for netherlands)
+25 euro handling fee for paperwork (the typical fedex and DHL ploy)
not forgetting to pay to china is another 15 euro,s by bank or 3% total on paypal surcharges.

so now we as dealers :
no i dont need to pay VAT when the goods enter our country we have a special permit for this, where we pay the VAT AFTER the sale and not before it.

also for the extra 10% we have a special tarrif code made for us, so we do not have to include this in our sales.
as for WEEE charges i asume that every distributor in europe pay these costs?
or ....?????

Support : we will help ALL customers regardless where they purchased,
however we will be needing to ask a fee for this , even when its in warranty.
people cost money , the lights and heating also.
and as you do know on Naza,s we cant make a living.

now as you can also see we sell the Wookong at the same price as you sell in china.
basicly we have 25% LOSS on any sale then any USA or China reseller.
or for that matter any country outside the EU.

so for us its a simple sum up : No bucks no Buck rogers

Okay Sidney.. good that I have no shipping charges on a pre-order but..

Here is a rough calculation of the 'financial advatage' or a pre order..

MRSP price NL
WKM 899.00
S800 1,280.00
Non pre order total 2,179.00

Preorder price
WKM+S800 1,820.00
import tax 10% 182.00
VAT 19% 345.80
Fedex clearance 25.00
bank charge payment china 15.00
Cost of pre order 2,387.80

Pre-order offer costs then 208.80 more than waiting till I can get it via dealer. Is this a good deal to the customer, it also annoys the distributor..

I suspect the good deal is similarily bad in the USA..

Allowing it to be co-ordinated bulked via distributors would save everyone time and money..

@digitech, don't final consumers end up paying VAT? If so, when is the benefit?
Also, US residence has to pay sales tax which is different from State to State. Although if yoouu live in a State where sales tax is low, you are ahead of the game.

@Nozzy, if there is no preorder discount, the cost would be higher, wouldn't it?

Hi Sidney,
Will we see any more videos from
DJI before the end of the pre-order period?

It would be really nice to see some external and onboard footage in 6-8m/sec winds. We don't expect it to be perfect but if it alleviates the problem of wobbling in the wind as you stated it does then this proof will be great for a lot of buyers.

Best regards
Jesse

The dealers here in europe use the price ofthe WKM
which is I understand the MSRP set by DJI for their product and quoted by all thye DJI documents. I can by it at that price anywhere in the Eurozone and I pay no extra taxes or import duty. Certainly prices in the netherlands are always inclusive of taxes, if selling to consumers. It is different than the USA where is is standard to add local sales tax to the ticket price. This I think is the confusion for us.

As I understand the DJI set euro price for the S800 is 1280. so that is the price including taxes that the dealers will charge. So it will be far cheaper to for any european customer NOT go for the pre-order, and just wait for the regular shipmments via dealers. Which I do not think is the objective of DJI who wishes to promote this beautifull new aerial photographic platform, providing a profesional quality product.

Will most definite release video before the date. 6-8m/sec = 25km/hr = 16mph, right?

@Nozzy, I will give this another thought in a few days. Thanks.
