On my 8S, internal means the rx voltage itself. External means the voltage sensors with wires that plug into the telemetry module, and internal means the voltage the telemetry module is being powered with.

On my 450, external shows battery voltage, and internal shows BEC voltage.

Sensor Setting - Voltage- Internal:5V

External: V1 is for the battery on the unit you are flying.
System Menu - Battery - Alarm Voltage is for the battery on the Devo 10

So what is this used for? Sensor Setting - Voltage- Internal:5V

Thanks Rafa.
So is this a use one or the other then, either the internal or external or use both?
And if I use the internal what should I set the alarm voltage at for a 1S 3.7V battery?
Also internal alarm voltage for a 2S 7.4V and 3S 11.1V.

hey tom....how i do it is use the 80% rule but nothing would fly with the battery down to 80% so I go about 87% to be safe (probably could go a bit lower)......lipos typically charge up to 4.2 per cell. So 4.2 X .87 = 3.65per cell. Therefore 1s = 3.65, 2s = 7.30, 3s = 10.95 ..... etc

Sometimes I have seen helis go into LVC before 3.65 so in that case you would have to bump it up a bit.

Hi pmerritt,

That sounds pretty good. I have been using full battery voltage minus 10%
which works well. It leaves me 3.72V no load on a 1S and 3.72V no load per cell on a 2S.
I will try your 87% rule as I would like to take the battery down a little more.

Thanks for the information.

I think it depends on the model. I don't have them in front of me, but my LB and V120D02S use only one of the voltage displays, but the rx802 on my 450 uses both. I'm more interested in battery voltage than BEC voltage, as the BEC voltage should remain constant.

I set the alarm through trial/error until I get to know at what voltage the bird is going to start losing enough power to fly.

When the alarm starts going off on the radio, I know it's time to bring it back nearby so I don't land in the grass.

Just a thought, it may be for those who use a battery for the RX, servos etc, and another for the motor/s.

As RXs usually only need a 1-2s battery but motors may use 3s+. So two alarms would be useful incase your RX pack drains first, which would hurt as you'd lose all control! Not even able to auto rotate.

I'm new to telemetry, can someone make a youtube video on how to setup telemetry on the Devo 10? I'm flying a Naza F450 with GPS. It would be much appreciated.

I was thinking of making more Devo 10 videos when I get some time.
I am busy with 3 reviews for the next week or so.
One of the videos would include how to setup telemetry.

Here are the videos I have at this time.

I am CX2Pilot on YouTube.

Run Dfuse as administrator, basic computer knowledge, really.
