This is my first Multiplex plane. Although I always perfer balsa over foam, I have to say (damage from shipping aside) I am impressed. My Cessna from Parkflyers isn't close to the same quality (although I have had that plane for 8 years now, I have replaced every part on it). I bought the Minimag as a cheap project for a rainy day. However, I already have several mods in mind that will actually make this a fun flyer. Best part is, at that price....I'm not worried about crashing, or ruining it by over powering it (I see folded wings in my future). If this seller comes thru and makes the shipping problem right, I will be getting a few more of these, as well as a few Twisters.

Now, for my next question:
Anyone know what kind of speed I can expect from the stock Twister set up?

shipping?

From the day of purchase, how long did it take before the seller provided tracking numbers? I purchased on the 15th and haven't seen any yet.

Just got the replacement Minimag! This guy is fast! Now I'm waiting for the Twister to list again. Hope I didn't miss out.

Shipping for both planes took exactly one week to Jersey. I didn't get tracking numbers for either one, so I wouldn't stress after only two days.

My MM arrived in 6 days, including weekend. 2 days for tracking # IIRC. Yours will probably ship Monday, since it's the weekend.

Comparing Multiplex to dynam is like comparing a BMW to a Kia...

I'll get those part numbers for you later Evil... gotta go fly now man.

My MM took a few days to get tracking, so what.
Arrived in 9 calender days from DOP, so what.
Some may think is slow, so what.
For the chump change charge for kit and shipping, I am most pleased.

For $35, I couldn't be more pleased. This will be a complete plane, with brushless motor for well under $100. In fact, I bet I can do it for no more than $55. I have two Towerpro 9 gram servos laying around for the ailerons, and I know I can find a brushless motor and ESC for around $20.

I now wish I'd bought a stack of these at that price.

I also did not get a tracking number from this seller. Both of my Twisters arrived NIB with no damage in the decorative packaging box. I bought on Mar. 7th, they shipped Mar. 9th and they arrived Mar. 13th. I went ahead and purchased the Easy Cub when I saw it listed yesterday. I have been very happy with my experience.

Snagged two of the Easy Cubs. Always room for more Cubs. Plus I already have electronics for them anyways.

You guys make it sounds like I am being impatient. I am really not, I just like to track my packages so I can hide them in the garage before the wife sees them.

Here is a pretty cool cockpit upgrade kit from Sparky. I may pick up one. Sparky's kits do require a little work, but really do add a nice touch.

BTW - what servos are you guys going to use for the Twister. The Hitec HS-65 servos are a little expensive for my wallet, so a cheaper alternative would be nice.

what's wrong with hxt900? are they not strong enough? should be fine for normal flying, theyre accurate enough for heli swash. And I doubt they'll strip unless you crash.

I don't know, that is what I am hoping to find out. I use the hxt900's all the time, but when I saw that the HS-65 were recommended, I thought the twister might need something a little more durable. If the hxt900's work well in it, then I am set.

Well, HS-65 is a very common and well name brand servo which I think is the same size as the 900's. So it's a recommendation for a "class" of servo and I think those cheap 9g servos like the HXT are similar, so we can use those.
