Lsf/ales

Great news from Jim Deck on the US ALES site. Looks like we shall be able to fly LSF tasks with Electric Powered/CAM equipped Sailplanes in the very near future. If you are an LSF member, please follow Jim's instructions and Vote. Ken. G.

Actually, no, it doesn't look like that at all. The response is quite mixed and extremely controversial on the other forums and on RCSE, and my prediction is that the whole idea will eventually be dropped.

If ALES fans want to have a program similar to LSF then I say let them go ahead and start one.

Personally I think it is a great idea since TD contests are in decline, at least around here, like there are none . I think it would benifit ALES as well as LSF to include another form of TD contests to it's folder. There are a bunch of ALES contests this year within reach of our area.
