Utah DLG is pleased to announce that our regularly scheduled April monthly contest will now be an AMA sanctioned and USA F3K Team Select Qualifier event. This event will also count towards UtahDLG monthly scoring.

Date: April 21, 2012
Time: 9:45 AM pilots meeting, 10:00 AM Start
Place: Vineyard Sod Farm (directions here)

Format: 6-8 round of F3K tasks (depending on weather and turnout) with no fly-off.

There will be no porta-potty or food provided for the event... you better bring your own.

Suggested donation: $2

This will be a great opportunity for anyone lacking TS qualification points to earn them. It will also be a great opportunity for anyone new to F3K to come out and see what it's all about (i.e. it will be a beginner friendly event!).

Please post in this thread if you are planning to attend.

Park City would be an awesome place for a summer contest, but there's a good chance there'll still be snow in April

I used to work just down the street from the WBP. We would walk up there often for lunch. Good food!

I have always thought Park City would be a fun place for BSOUT, and did lots of searching for a suitable field up there. No luck though. Plus it's pretty darn hard to beat our current location at the Vineyard sod farm.

Less than 3 weeks away now... Come on, only 4 of us chimed in so far? Time to get going on this. I would hope to see at least a dozen or more local guys attend.

I will not be able to make this one guys. I'm just hoping to still be able to compete in the May event.

Got the green light from the wife, so I should be there. That's 1 week before finals, though, which has historically been the WORST week of the semester because teachers like to give HUGE projects.
