Hobby King nano tech 25C 2S 180 UMX LiPoly
Charged @ 200 mA (0.2A) / Discharged at 540 mA (3C) until first cellreached 3.6V
and cell inbalance was not very pretty . Charged again @ 200 mA rate and discharged at 1A down to first cell to reach 3.3V and capacity delivered was 99.2 mAh . Charged again at 200 mA and did a 2A discharge down to first cell to reach 3.3 and 91.8 mAh delivered. Good one tested here http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1584967 |

Charles, are the IR's pretty equal on all packs? My guess is yes but I find that some need hard balancing when charged fast.
I remember when I dismantled a FB's pack, a 3S 2200 pack that had mah stickers ranging from 2140-2160 to 2260-2280? His non-balancing charger 'bout cooked the low mah cell over time. Rick |

After that discharge and setting overnight cells were 3.729 and 3.825. No point in doing detailes tests or notes on a bad Lipoly. I will save it for now and if one of the other three I have coming has a puffed / bad cell I will cobble the good cells together. |

I'm going by how long you have been a member on this forum and guessing you might of been buying battieries from Hobbyking for quite some time.
there again i could be wrong, everydayflyer that is ![]() It's the law of averages you might get a bad battery once in a while from any battery supplier/maker,i've been buying my batts from hobbyking for a good few years now and i've never had a bad one yet ( you just know i'll get one now) and i hope it carries on like that. |

I rarely purchase LiPolys from Hobby King as I have seen to many negative reports and the few I have purchased have been sub par. The 25C 2S 180s are the exception it seems as ones I received and tested at the thread I linked to were very good and many down in the RTF Micro thread use them with good results.
As to getting a bad one from other vendors I never have and if I did it would not be a hassle to get it replaced. Charles |

cheap is correct and buy more would be very necessary if you fly as much as I do. To date it would take numerios . HK LiPolys to last as long as one Thunder Power does and even then the HK's performance would be sub standard.
I say again as I have many times in the past. Purchase price is not what I look at it is cost per flight. I have numerious Thunder Powers and Hyperions with over 300 flights on them and have yet had a HK to make it to 100 and most lasted less than 50. Charles |
