I have about 120-130 flights on mine, crashed bad enough twice to need new frames, a few props but have yet to replace a motor.

If flown normal no crashes then a long time. I landed upside down on a gym floor and it took a motor out.

The last time I saw my LB was a few weeks ago and she was stuck at the top of a 10m tree, in a holiday village about 500km from home.
Since then I had bad news and good news.

The bad: v1 board and other parts I ordered from Banggood end of Nov never arrived. Tracked with Aus Post and found they were delivered elsewhere and signed by someone else! A week of fluffing around with Banggood and they agreed to re-send. But that's another 2-3 weeks of waiting for critical parts I need for re-build of a new bird!

Buth then came the good news...
Got a phone call from the lady who's property the tree is on. A strong wind dropped the bird to the ground. The person found the LB, brought her to Sydney and was willing to drop her at my place. And she stays 15 mins from my place!
I went and picked up the bird, very very happy.
There was no sign of visible damage although there are a couple of rust spots on one of the motor casings and an arm. (she was on the tree for 2˝ weeks, in a very hot weather and some rain).
I perform a very quick flying/hovering test and she appears to be ok. Possibly a motor needs to be replaced because she drifts to the right (Aileron trim perhaps???), but other than that she seems ok.

So hopefully I will start flying this weekend... yeeeepeeeeeeeeeee

I've replaced 2 frames, 3 motors, and 1 set of props (one kept popping off, causing me to break the frame) All in all, I've spent at least $15 keeping this bird flying.....don't know if I can keep up at these prices

Even though the Helimax 1sq is covered locally and I don't have to wait any length of time for parts, this bird is easier to fly and cheaper to maintain.
I'm have tempted to pick up a walkera board and 7E to put on my HM frame

Lb fpv

Anyone tried the LB V2 FPV setup? I see one here: http://www.hobbywow.com/en-walkera-q...hz-p233668.htm

I am not trying to advertise for them as I am having problems with them right now. That seems cheap. There is the version with the F7 tx but it's almost $100 more.

I wonder how good this is? I know the tx is not as fancy as the F7, less switches, etc.

I imported a special chip from China. It's a pre-production chip that upgrades the internal electronics and adds an advanced guiding system that can interact with any camera system. I used a 808 #16 camera and the results are pretty awesome.

I'm not a very good pilot though and the thing crashed anyway.

Flight test (2 min 1 sec)

I'll be reviewing the DEVO F4 and the v2 LB FPV. Hopefully I'll have it in my hands in a few days.
